Burglary Near You - Chapel Street BD13

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Chapel Street, this occurred on Friday 29th May between 1800hrs and Sunday 31st May at 1225hrs. The house was left locked and secured. However suspects have managed to damage the door by unknown means and gain entry stealing over £6000 worth of tools. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between the dates above please check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
